We are a strong and growing Heating & Plumbing manufacturers' rep agency serving all of New England and Upstate New York. We have an immediate full-time Inside Sales / Customer Service position on our plumbing team available.
Candidate for this position should have exceptional administrative, customer service and excellent phone and email communication skills. The potential candidate must also be outgoing, self-motivated, reliable, have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and be a team player.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Data entry - ability to enter data accurately and efficiently.
- Customer purchase orders - ability to read and transfer information accurately into system.
- Answer phones with high call volume and direct to appropriate person / department.
- Maintain high email volume.
- Create and maintain purchase orders from wholesalers and to manufactures.
- Maintain logs for easy reference.
- Respond to email inquiries from wholesalers, checking inventory and lead times on existing purchase orders.
- Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
- Ability to refer to manufacturer books and websites to match products to the needs of customers.
- Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing customers.
- Collaborates with managers and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
- Submitting purchase orders and stock orders to manufacturers.
- Reviewing all order confirmations to confirm pricing and accuracy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Prior experience in the plumbing industry preferred, but willing to train the appropriate candidate.
- Experience entering data with accuracy and efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn plumbing / bathroom products so able to answer customer questions and concerns.
- Ability to handle high call volume.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
