Responsabilidades

  • Preparar y cocinar yakitori y otros platillos a la parrilla siguiendo los estándares del restaurante
  • Operar y mantener la estación de parrilla durante el servicio
  • Garantizar la calidad, consistencia y presentación de los alimentos
  • Mantener limpia y organizada el área de trabajo
  • Cumplir con las normas de seguridad alimentaria e higiene
  • Ayudar con la preparación de ingredientes y otras tareas de cocina
  • Trabajar en equipo para asegurar un servicio eficiente

Requisitos

  • Experiencia previa en cocina, parrilla o línea de producción (preferida)
  • Experiencia en cocina japonesa o yakitori es una ventaja, pero no es obligatoria
  • Capacidad para trabajar en un ambiente rápido y bajo presión
  • Atención al detalle y compromiso con la calidad
  • Puntualidad y responsabilidad
  • Actitud positiva y disposición para aprender

Edomasa is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Grill Chef / Yakitori Chef to join our team in San Francisco's Japantown.

As a member of our kitchen team, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality yakitori and grilled dishes while maintaining the standards of a restaurant with over 100 years of history originating in Tokyo, Japan.

About Us

Edomasa is a century-old restaurant from Tokyo, Japan, now proudly serving authentic Japanese cuisine and yakitori in San Francisco's Japantown.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and grill yakitori and other menu items according to restaurant standards
  • Manage grill station operations during service
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and grill area
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with prep work and inventory management
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service

Qualifications

  • Previous grill, line cook, or kitchen experience preferred
  • Experience with yakitori or Japanese cuisine is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Willingness to learn and grow
