Cromwell Public Schools is looking for Paraeducator for Edna C. Stevens School (PreK to grade 2). This is a Choice funded position until last student day in June 2026.
The paraeducator will work with a variety of students with disabilities.
Qualifications:
Associates degree, 60 college credits, or a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment. Experience working with children is preferred.
Compensation:
$22.75 per hour, 30 hours per week (6.5 hours per day with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break, sick and personal time, health benefits, eligible for a pension (see contract for a complete list of benefits). Position starts January 12, 2026.
The paraeducator will work with a variety of students with disabilities.
This involves supporting students in all aspects of their day and the ability to work in diverse classroom settings under the direction of the special/and or regular education teachers which may include therapy activities, lifting, field trips, life skill instruction, and all other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.
