About the Role:
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and expanding deposit relationships to
support customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth. You will build strong client
relationships and cross-sell banking products, including public, consumer and commercial
offerings. Your efforts will directly enhance Edmonton State Bank’s visibility and reputation
within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
· Drive deposit and fee income growth through networking, social media, cold calling
· and other outreach strategies
· Create and implement strategic business development plans to attract and retain
· clients
· Actively participate in community events and maintain a strong local presence
· Identify opportunities for CRA through community development, donations and services within low to moderate income areas
· Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify new opportunities for growth
· Foster strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional client service
· Collaborate with the Marketing Officer and internal teams to support outreach and product awareness
· Refer clients to appropriate team members such as lenders and new accounts representatives
· Proactively identify cross-sell opportunities for a full range of banking products
· Partner with management and front-line staff on products and services
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
· Proven experience in sales and business development in banking or financial services
· In-depth knowledge of banking products and services
· Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
· Self-motivated, collaborative and customer focused
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
· Position operates in a professional office environment
· Routine use of standard office equipment, i.e. computers, phones, photocopiers, calculators, and filing cabinets
· Must be able to remain sedentary 50% of the time
· Employee will occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
· Employee will occasionally attend gatherings on the bank’s behalf
