What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative / Loan Assistant position at Edmonton State Bank?
The position of the Loan Administrative Assistant would be responsible for assisting loan officer(s) in performing various duties regarding loan applications and closings. The position of Loan Assistant requires the individual to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of lending and is expected to provide support to the lending staff.
The duties required of the Loan Assistant include, but are not limited to:
- Tracking and resolving financial exceptions
- Tracking and resolving document exceptions
- Ordering/processing inspections request
- Documenting loan denials, withdrawn applications, etc.
- Work with the Mortgage department in assisting clearing loan conditions on residential loan applications
- Communicating with the loan processors throughout the loan process including monitoring the status of the loan and communicating closing details
- Sending applications to borrowers
- Requesting credit reports and ensuring red flags are completed
- Obtaining insurance for loan closings
- Attend closing and notarize required documents
- Pull CRS reports
- Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Position operates in a professional office environment
- Routine use of standard office equipment, i.e. computers, phones, photocopiers, calculators, and filing cabinets
- Must be able to remain sedentary 50% of the time
- Employee will occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
