Multi Site Armed Security Guard(Nights)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities include guarding, active patrol, monitor premises, and active surveillance on client premises to prevent theft, violence, infraction of rules, and vandalism. Duties also include occasional operation of metal detector equipment for plethora of events. The ability to travel to other locations out of Jackson with or without transportation provided.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

-Must have an up to date, valid CPL; must have CPL for this specific position

-Critical thinking; using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

-Reading comprehension; understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents

-Active listening; giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times

-Complex problem solving; identifying problems and reviewing information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

-Computer skills; using a computer system to enter, update, send, and create reports that is essential for company and client information

-Judgment and decision making; considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

-Security experience

-Current CPR and First Aid Certification

-Previous military experience

-Law enforcement experience

-Short term on the job training
