Position Overview
HEAD START FISCAL SPECIALIST 2
SALARY: $3,728 per month ($44,736 annually)
LOCATION: Lynnwood, Washington
DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Act as a liaison between the Head Start & Early Head Start program and the Edmonds College business office
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local fiscal regulations
- Work closely in conjunction with the Executive Director to establish the annual fiscal budget, cost allocation plan, and program area budgets
- Train staff on pertinent fiscal procedures and regulations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or bachelor's degree in accounting, business, fiscal management, or a related field
- Accounting background with a minimum of two years of experience in accounts payable; knowledge of full cycle accounts payable; grant funded nonprofit experience a plus
- Extensive knowledge of computer software such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Google

ABOUT THE COLLEGE:
The college serves approximately 18,000 students annually, including approximately 800 international students from about 55 countries. The college currently offers six Bachelor of Applied Science degrees, one Bachelor of Science degree, 66 associate degrees, and 111 professional certificates in 30 programs of study. The college operates two on-campus residence halls housing approximately 400 students. The college has a wide range of comprehensive offerings: College credit in high school, basic education skills to receive a high school diploma/GED or to prepare for college, short-term non-credit training, continuing education, online degrees, and certificates, offered day, night, and weekend. Support services include childcare, a campus food pantry, 211 navigator, and mental health resources.
