Seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time High School teaching position.
Responsibilities
- Presents a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school and demonstrates behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
- Delivery quality instruction to students.
- Grade coursework and provide content area feedback to encourage student learning and motivation.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods in the individual, group, and online setting.
- Communication with students to encourage course completion and success.
- Encourage and track student attendance.
- Manage academic and behavioral needs of students.
- Provides student support services by monitoring halls, study periods, and lunchroom.
- Provide student tutoring in area(s) of certification.
- Attend Individualized Education Plan meetings.
- Attends and participates in staff development programs, faculty events and meetings, and serves on staff committees as required (teacher in-service days).
- Utilize student information database (Powerschool)
- Ability to work with others on a team
- Self motivation
- Navigation of the Internet
- Communication and support through Email
- Basic skills in Microsoft software
- Bachelor’s Degree
- AZ teaching certificate preferred
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Highly qualified status in at least one math content area
- High School teaching experience preferred
