The Social Services Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Social Services Department to ensure residents’ emotional, social, and psychological needs are met. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement social service programs that support residents’ well-being.
Conduct psychosocial assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
Advocate for residents’ rights and assist with care planning and discharge processes.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and administrative staff to address resident needs.
Provide counseling and support to residents and families during transitions and crises.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Train and supervise social services staff as needed.
Education & Licensure:
Must hold a current Licensed Social Worker (LSW) credential.
Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
