Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and scientifically curious Inside Sales Representative to support revenue growth for our services and product portfolios. This role is fully inside sales–focused, leveraging virtual selling skills to engage customers across the western United States. The ideal candidate combines strong digital communication skills with a consultative, science-driven approach to sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively prospect and identify new sales opportunities through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, ZoomInfo, and other digital channels
- Research and qualify inbound and outbound leads, building a robust pipeline to support the broader regional sales team
- Schedule and coordinate introductory meetings, product presentations, and demos on behalf of field and technical sales colleagues
- Conduct virtual discovery calls to understand customer needs and pass well-qualified opportunities to the appropriate regional team members
- Assist in closing select opportunities, particularly for smaller accounts or transactional sales where full field engagement is not required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activity, lead status, and pipeline progression in CRM (Salesforce)
- Collaborate closely with marketing to follow up on campaign-generated leads and convert them into qualified opportunities
- Partner with field sales and technical support colleagues to ensure seamless handoffs and a consistent customer experience
- Gather and relay customer feedback and market intelligence to inform team strategy
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation, pipeline contribution.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1 years of sales experience, preferably in biotechnology, life sciences, diagnostics, or laboratory products
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfort with virtual selling tools and CRM platforms (Salesforce)
- Must be located near Seattle, San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, or San Diego
Preferred
- Technical understanding of CRISPR or genome engineering
- Previous experience working as a bench scientist or researcher in drug discovery
- Advanced degree in a Life Science field
- Experience selling to research, clinical, or pharmaceutical customers
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
