Rate: $90–$120 per hour (1099)

Contract Type: 6-month Contract

Project Overview

A fast-growing robotics company in Boston is scaling its simulation and autonomy capabilities to accelerate development of next-generation robotic systems operating in real-world environments.

This programme focuses on building a cloud-enabled simulation and validation platform using NVIDIA Isaac Sim, enabling faster iteration across perception, navigation, and system behaviour before deployment to physical robots.

You will play a key role in developing simulation infrastructure and improving sim-to-real performance, ensuring models and systems behave reliably in production environments.

Skills & Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimise NVIDIA Isaac Sim environments, including GPU-enabled, headless, and cloud-based setups.
• Integrate simulation platforms with ROS 1 and ROS 2, ensuring accurate data flow and time synchronisation.
• Develop and maintain robot models and digital environments using USD and simulation tooling.
• Optimise performance across physics, rendering, and sensor pipelines (e.g. LiDAR, cameras, IMU).
• Build infrastructure for scenario testing, automated validation, and simulation orchestration at scale.
• Collaborate with robotics and ML teams to ensure strong sim-to-real transfer and system performance.
• Contribute to DevOps and automation practices, improving scalability and reliability of simulation workflows.
