Electrical Engineer – Hyperscale Data Centers
Remote with 25% travel
$120,000- $160,000
The Electrical Engineer supports the design and delivery of power infrastructure systems for hyperscale data centers, ensuring high reliability, scalability, and efficiency. This role involves developing electrical designs, validating solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems including MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, and busway systems
- Produce single-line diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings
- Perform load calculations and basic power system analysis
- Evaluate system redundancy (N, N 1, 2N) and reliability
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and vendor teams
- Support procurement, commissioning, and testing activities
- Create and maintain BOMs and engineering documentation
- Provide technical support during design, construction, and operations
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3 years of electrical design experience
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or similar
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems and electrical components
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Preferred
- Experience in data centers or mission-critical environments
- Knowledge of UPS, generators, and redundancy design
- Familiarity with power system studies and industry standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC)
- Experience with commissioning or site support
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
