What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipfitter position at Edison Chouest Offshore?

Edison Chouest Offshore affiliate GulfShip is accepting applications for the position of Shipfitter.

Functions

Locates and marks reference lines, such as center and frame lines.
Aligns parts in relation to each other.
Marks locations for holes that are to be drilled.
Installs packing, gaskets, liners, bearings, and other structural accessories.

Requirements

Must be able to read and write alphabetically and numerically.
Must be able to pass company specified layout, cutting, and burn test.
