Janitor

· To safely and efficiently clean all assigned facility offices and living quarters

· This is a full-time position on a schedule of 5/2 (8-12 hours per day). Monday through Friday

• Valid Driver's License
• Valid TWIC card
• Communication skills
• Self-motivation
• Ability to read and write in English
• Detail-oriented personality
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
  Essential Job Functions

• Display and encourage teamwork among employees and customers
• Maintain positive working relationships with all employees and clients
• Communicate effectively with peers, clients, and members of management
• Operate company-owned vehicles
• Maintain proper cleaning supply inventory levels based on workload
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities, including sinks, urinals, toilets, showers, tubs, windows, mirrors, and walls; replenish supplies in the restrooms
• Clean and sanitize all offices and living accommodations as directed
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets as necessary
• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors
• Dust and polish woodwork, fixtures. and equipment
• Create work tickets for jobs performed
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles
• Pick up paper and other debris
• Clean air vents as required

• Actively participate in the company WISE program
• Act as a mentor per the company's Mentoring and SSE programs
• Utilize Stop Work Authority when necessary
• Adhere to and comply with company policies, OSHA, and environmental regulations
• Abide by, convey, and enforce all safety rules, including the wear of PPE for oneself and others, including third-party personnel on site at the facility

• May be subject to environmental exposure to heat, cold, smoke, dust, fumes, and gases
• May be required to work alone
• May be required to perform work at an alternate location other than the port facility
• Subject to adverse weather conditions, including high winds, cold, and heat

• While performing job duties, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear, and taste and smell.
• The employee must occasionally lift or move more than 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
