Summary and Objective
- To safely and efficiently clean all assigned facility offices and living quarters
- This is a full-time position on a schedule of 5/2 (8-12 hours per day). Monday through Friday
- Valid Drivers License
- Valid TWIC card
- Communication skills
- Self-motivation
- Ability to read and write in English
- Detail-oriented personality
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
- Display and encourage teamwork among employees and customers
- Maintain positive working relationships with all employees and clients
- Communicate effectively with peers, clients, and members of management
- Operate company-owned vehicles
- Maintain proper cleaning supply inventory levels based on workload
- Clean and sanitize restroom facilities, including sinks, urinals, toilets, showers, tubs, windows, mirrors, and walls; replenish supplies in the restrooms
- Clean and sanitize all offices and living accommodations as directed
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets as necessary
- Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors
- Dust and polish woodwork, fixtures. and equipment
- Create work tickets for jobs performed
- Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles
- Pick up paper and other debris
- Clean air vents as required
- Actively participate in company WISE program
- Act as a mentor per company Mentoring and SSE programs
- Utilize Stop Work Authority when necessary
- Adhere to and comply with company policies, OSHA, and environmental regulations
- Abide by, convey, and enforce all safety rules, including the wear of PPE for oneself and others, including third-party personnel on site at the facility
- May be subject to environmental exposure to heat, cold, smoke, dust, fumes, and gases
- May be required to work alone
- May be required to perform work at an alternate location other than the port facility
- Subject to adverse weather conditions including high winds, cold, and heat
- While performing job duties, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: talk and hear; and taste and smell.
- The employee must occasionally lift or move more than 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
