Now Hiring: Hostess Aboard Private Houseboat Tranquility

Edison Chouest Offshore is seeking a professional, service-oriented Hostess to support hospitality operations aboard a privately owned company houseboat. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in presentation, discretion, and creating a welcoming environment in a high-standard, executive setting.

The Hostess plays a key role in ensuring guests and executives experience seamless, attentive service while aboard the vessel. This position works closely with the onboard housekeeping and support staff to maintain a polished, organized, and comfortable atmosphere at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming point of contact for guests, visitors, and executives aboard the houseboat.
• Assist with hosting duties during meals, meetings, and special events, ensuring service is professional and unobtrusive.
• Support table setup, light food service, beverage service, and post-event cleanup as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of common guest areas in coordination with the housekeeping team.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and respectfully to service requests.
• Assist with light administrative or hospitality-related tasks as requested to support daily operations.
• Uphold discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality in all interactions.
  
  

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

• Prior experience in hospitality, hosting, waitstaff, private service, or guest-facing roles preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a calm, professional demeanor.
• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high presentation standards.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing needs.
• Polished, conservative appearance and strong personal hygiene required.
• Experience in high-end hospitality, private residences, or executive service environments is a plus.
  
  

Work Environment

• Occasional flexibility may be required based on vessel activity or guest needs.
• Work is conducted aboard a private company houseboat with rotating dock locations, all within reasonable driving distance of the company’s main office.
