Medical Director (Psychiatry)
Lead clinical excellence and shape the future of behavioral health care
The Edinburg Center is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Medical Director to provide psychiatric leadership across our programs, including PACT and outpatient services. This is a high-impact role combining clinical care, leadership, and program development.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Leadership & Care
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management
- Offer expert consultation for complex and crisis cases
- Support high-quality, person-centered care across programs
Supervision & Team Leadership
- Supervise psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and prescribers
- Conduct evaluations and support staff development
- Serve as clinical co-lead for the PACT team
Program Development & Strategy
- Partner with executive leadership to design and grow clinical programs
- Develop and implement agency-wide policies and protocols
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Collaboration & Operations
- Ensure adequate psychiatric coverage across programs
- Lead trainings and participate in key committees
- Collaborate with DMH and interdisciplinary teams
What You Are:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN)
- Active, unrestricted Massachusetts medical license
- Valid DEA & MA Controlled Substances Registration
- Experience in clinical leadership and psychiatric care
- Ability to work with electronic health records
On-Call
Provide after-hours consultation as needed
