What are the responsibilities and job description for the Firefighter/EMT position at Edinburg Fire Department?
Entry level firefighter position - performs firefighting and EMS including but not limited to: driving apparatus, operating pumps and other equipment, laying hose and performing fire extinguishment along with EMS duties for Emergency Operations within Edinburg Township or when providing mutual aid to surrounding agencies. Station Duties & special details as directed by Chief.
Approximately 600 calls per year
Additional Incentives: Federal Holiday Pay at time-and-a-half, Training & Call Backs paid per hour, paid per certification, Flexible Scheduling, 12 hr shifts (6 am-6 pm or 6 pm-6 am) or 24 hr shift.
About Edinburg Township: small, rural community providing 24 Hr fire and ems protection to approximately 2500 residents in 25 square miles including 5 miles of Interstate 76 with 2 Rest Areas and part of West Branch State Park Woods.
Application Process: Submit resume with references, Current State of Ohio EMS Certification (EMT- Basic, EMT- Advanced or Paramedic, Current State of Ohio Firefighter Certification of 120 - Level I or 240 - Level II.
