What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Hygiene - Project Tech position at Edifice Rx?
Edifice Rx currently has an opening for an Industrial Hygiene Project Tech to assist with Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) studies, environmental health and safety surveys, post-construction LEED testing and mold evaluations . Training will be provided by experienced Industrial Hygienist.

Edifice Rx works with building owners, property managers, facility managers, contractors, etc.. Our mission is the improvement of a building’s ability to affect occupant productivity, health and well-being (IEQ), from construction through healthy building operations and maintenance.
Job Functions:
The Project Tech would be responsible for performing, as needed, IEQ testing support, including, but not limited to, assisting an experienced Industrial Hygienist with:
- Air Quality sampling
- Water quality sampling
- LEED air quality testing
- Moisture and mold investigations
- Environmental Health and Safety surveys
- Data compilation
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene/Safety, or other applicable technical major
- 0-5 years’ experience
- Some knowledge of mold sampling standards
- Some knowledge of general commercial building system operations
- Some knowledge/experience working on building construction job sites and/or review of mechanical plans
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred, but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction
- Accuracy and completeness of project deliverables
- Strong work ethic, reliability and trustworthiness
- Valid driver’s license and automobile for transportation.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- While rare, night work and potential weekend work may be required during emergency response work.
