We’re currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with both ground-up and upfit experience to work with our project teams in Charleston, SC.
This individual will lead public sector projects such as government facilities, public safety buildings, and civic infrastructure, managing all phases from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, a thorough understanding of municipal processes and regulations, and the ability to build trusted relationships with public clients and project partners. This role is critical to delivering high-quality projects that positively impact the communities we serve while upholding EDIFICE’s standards of excellence.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Budget maintenance
- Project buyout
- Accounts receivable
- Subcontractor procurement and contracting
- Shop drawing and submittal process
- Project development and coordination
- Safety plan implementation, quality assurance plan implementation
- Client satisfaction and overall project team relations
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in commercial construction, with 5 years in project management
- Proven ability to manage multiple project phases from planning and procurement through completion
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management
- Experience working in occupied facilities and coordinating complex renovation activities
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
