Aloha,
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Crew Leader to support outdoor projects across Oahu. This is a part-time contractor opportunity for someone who enjoys leading teams, communicating effectively, and helping create productive and beautiful outdoor spaces.
This position combines hands-on landscaping work with leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and able to guide team members while maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Primary Responsibilities
Landscape and Garden Work:
- Edible garden installation and maintenance
- Planting, pruning, mulching, and weeding
- General landscape maintenance
- Supporting sustainable food-growing projects
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Overseeing small work crews
- Coordinating project activities and schedules
- Communicating with clients on-site
- Monitoring project progress and quality standards
- Managing tools, materials, and equipment
- Assisting with planning and workflow organization
Compensation and Schedule
- Starting pay: $35.00 per hour
- Approximately 10–25 hours per month
- Flexible schedule based on project demands
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of landscaping experience
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Dependable, professional, and accountable
- High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal awareness
- Ability to listen, collaborate, and work respectfully with others
- Training, certifications, or professional development related to leadership, coaching, facilitation, or emotional intelligence are highly valued
