Sales and Customer Service Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support in a retail environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and handle various customer inquiries will contribute to a positive shopping experience. You will also assist with merchandising, stocking, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product recommendations.
• Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering.
• Assist in merchandising and stocking products on shelves to enhance store presentation.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to store policies and procedures.
• Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles.
• Utilize strong phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
• Apply basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for enhanced communication with diverse customers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
• Experience with product demos and merchandising techniques is advantageous.
