Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods to customers across various routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs while maintaining accurate delivery records.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy lifting when necessary, to ensure products are handled carefully and securely.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns with clear communication.
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, helping to boost sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of your vehicle to ensure safety and reliability on the road.
- Follow proper route planning techniques using GPS or maps to optimize delivery efficiency and reduce delays.
Skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is highly preferred.
- Strong math skills for handling pricing calculations, invoices, and basic route planning.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and navigation tools to ensure efficient deliveries.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while loading or unloading goods as needed.
- Organizational skills for managing delivery schedules, paperwork, and vehicle maintenance logs.
