Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for cash handling, sales transactions, and returns
- Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about merchandise to enhance their shopping experience
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items and informing customers about ongoing promotions
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store is inviting and well-presented
- Manage inventory levels through stock checks and assist with inventory counts to support retail operations
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support cashiering duties with basic math skills to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members during busy periods to ensure smooth store operations
- Apply retail math skills for balancing registers and managing cash flow effectively
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service roles is preferred, especially within grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math is highly desirable
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey product information and handle customer concerns professionally
