Edgewater Research is seeking a Technology Associate Research Analyst to join our growing team. This is a full-time, in-person role supporting our industry-leading institutional research offering within the Technology sector, with a focus on Memory, Storage & Compute.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with our senior analyst teams to produce differentiated, high-quality institutional research within the Technology sector, with a specific focus on Memory, Storage & Compute.
- Conduct primary channel research, including identifying, recruiting, and networking with industry experts, suppliers, semiconductor manufacturers, hyperscalers, and other key sources relevant to the Memory, Storage & Compute ecosystem.
- Work with team to interpret industry data and write compelling research notes and thematic reports, with exposure to financial modeling and earnings analysis.
- Build and maintain relationships with supply chain participants and institutional investor clients, including participation in investor marketing and client meetings.
- Contribute to the development of new research products and methodologies in collaboration with the broader analyst team.
Requirements
- Intellectually curious with a strong investigative mentality and a passion for understanding the technology supply chain.
- Capable of critical thinking and intellectual humility, given the nuance and complexity of the sectors we cover.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small and fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to work outside traditional business hours due to the diverse/global technology supply chain.
- General interest in technology and stock market; willingness to become an expert in semiconductors, data storage, or compute ecosystem. Ability to pitch an investment idea is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and communication skills required, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely.
- Bachelor's degree required; coursework or experience in finance, economics, or a technology-related field is preferred.
- 1–3 years of professional experience; candidates with prior research, finance, sales, or technology experience are encouraged to apply.
