Description
The Edgewater Hotel is currently seeking a talented, service oriented individual to join us as a Sales Coordinator!
Are you working in hospitality operations now and want to get your foot in the door of the sales department? This is a great way to start your career in catering or sales! This Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing administrative support for our group sales team. This is a chance to work closely with Director of Sales, Sales Managers and Catering team to provide an outstanding impression to our clients.

Salary: $31.25/HR
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school graduate, Associate's Degree or higher
· Hotel Experience or degree in Hospitality related field
· Excellent organizational skills
· Refined verbal and written communication skills
· Must be extremely creative, innovative, and detail-oriented with keen sense of follow-up
· Must be proficient in computer applications, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Delphi knowledge preferred
· Ideal candidate should be multi-task oriented
· Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
· A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
· Must have previous experience with direct client and/or guest interactions in any type of customer service setting
· Full-time position that requires full flexibility, including the ability to work weekends, holidays and a varied schedule
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
· Maintain knowledge of all Hotel services/features and hours of operation.
· Maintain complete knowledge in the use of all office equipment, computer, and manual systems.
· Answer the general sales telephone line and qualify group meeting requests by obtaining pertinent information required before transferring the caller and information to a Sales Manager.
· Attend designated pre-cons.
· Site assistance, which includes but not limit to:
o Client gifts and amenities
o Assist with site inspections
o Showroom prep
o Ensure public area cleanliness and sense of arrival
o Coordinate EC and other members requested for sites
o Make site welcome signs
o Assist Sales Managers to:
Blocking space in Delphi
Merging contracts and forms
o Final billing for events
o Running reports
· Assist managers with Delphi and paperwork for definite file turnovers
· Assist Executive Team with various duties as needed
· Maintain confidentiality and security of specified Hotel information, correspondence, reports and files.
