About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial Security Administrator to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN. This position will support the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Scientific and Technical Information (DOE OSTI) Security Officer in the administration of federal security compliance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and administer federal security compliance programs, ensuring adherence to DOE security directives, including DOE Order 470.6 and NISPOM requirements.
- Develop and implement effective security policies and procedures, promoting a culture of security awareness and compliance across the organization.
- Support the security clearance process, maintaining accurate records and ensuring all employees and contractors have the appropriate security clearances.
- Collaborate with government agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination on security matters.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a security related field.
- Experience with the Department of Energy's Technical Security Program DOE 470.6 is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of DOE security directives, particularly the DOE 400 series, is preferred.
- Familiarity with NISPOM (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual) and federal classified information handling procedures is strongly preferred.
