Assistant Head of Housekeeping

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Head of Housekeeping to lead and support our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and service standards. Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Housekeeping in managing daily housekeeping operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Supervise and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure consistent delivery of cleaning, laundry, and custodial services aligned with brand standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and laundry facilities to uphold cleanliness and safety protocols.
• Implement training programs for staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service excellence.
• Oversee inventory management for cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and sanitation practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special requests or event setups that require housekeeping support.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hospitality or hotel environment.
• Supervising or management experience leading housekeeping teams or similar service-oriented staff.
• Strong knowledge of hotel or vacation rental housekeeping standards, commercial cleaning techniques, laundry operations, and safety protocols.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards across multiple areas.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
• Prior hospitality or hotel experience is highly preferred for understanding industry-specific expectations.
