We are currently recruiting for a Dispatch Assistant in our Sacramento location. This role is responsible for verifying drivers have the correct material and are delivering the material to the proper locations. Dispatch Assistant also works with sales staff and customers on delivery problems. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Dispatch: Assists Dispatch Supervisor in ensuring trucks are ready for deliveries, loaded and routed.
• Communicates with drivers on cell phone for correct location and any problems that may occur on route.
• Works with all salesmen and customers on deliveries and problems in absence of Dispatch Supervisor.
• Responsible for ensuring the Pipe and Christy yard is stocked and cleaned.
• Backup for Dispatch supervisor
• Assist in Receiving and Will Call departments.
• Assist in Wire room as needed
• Keep track of all Wemco’s and A-Frames
Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum Five years of driving and receiving experience. Clean DMV record in accordance with company insurance requirements

Salary : $21 - $29
