Job Description

Embodies the company culture, SQE and delivers results accordingly. In accordance with the President's vision, SQE mission and strategic plan, the Experienced Open Cut Underground worker for a given project assists the Utility Supervisor and crew to successfully complete utility installations. Other duties as assigned. This role requires 3 /- years of previous experience in storm sewer, sanitary and watermain construction. Reports directly to the Utility Supervisor.

Specific Qualifications

• Proven track record of consistent safe work practices including trench boxes, heavy structures, and other live utilities
• Ability to control grade and set pipe to proper elevations
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Ability to take direction and work together as a crew
• Ability to read and interpret project plans
• Responsible for good communication with crew to ensure quality installation of the pipes
• Strong attention to detail is required
• Familiarity with potholing for existing utilities
• Has a good understanding of the process and tools needed for utility construction
