Our Primary Care Physician reports to our Chief Executive Officer and supports our Edgerton Hospital - Milton Clinic by performing the following duties:
Provides clinical care of patients including:
Assessment
Diagnosis/treatment of illness
Ordering and interpreting medical diagnostics
Performs routine vaccinations
Chronic disease management and Wellness care
Prescribing of medications, treatments, therapy, medical equipment, etc.
Provides follow-up care for patients with on-going medical issues, adjusting diagnostic testing and medication regimens as appropriate to improve patient outcomes.
Refers patients as needed to appropriate specialists/services and/or other appropriate health care services.
Cultivates a climate of trust and compassion for patients.
Practices evidence-based medicine.
Additional considerations:
Oversees and collaborates with Advanced Practice Providers (NPs)
Must complete documentation in a timely and efficient manner
Maintains patient medical records using electronic medical record
Is compliant with regulatory requirements, HIPAA, and internal EHHS policies
Adheres to quality improvement programs and participates in periodic internal audits.
Completes annual CME activities
Must have ability to work well with others in a team.
Engages in promotional and hospital/community health events as needed
Essential functions are included in this section, but there may be delegated duties within the scope of practice
Experience/Desired Skills:
Experience in a primary clinic is preferred
Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records to document patient care (EPIC experience is preferred).
Ability to perform a range of in-clinic procedures
Ability to deliver high-quality care by being available to patients and addressing their medical and social needs.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Requirements M.D. or D.O.
Board certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine / Pediatrics
Licensed within the state of Wisconsin
Ability to maintain DEA certification for the State of Wisconsin
Must hold and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Summary Let's talk Benefits -
