Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Lake City, Lahore. The Accountant will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining the general ledger, managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, tracking expenses, and ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping. The role includes preparing financial statements and reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
The Accountant will be responsible for managing tax compliance and filings, including the preparation and submission of sales tax, income tax, withholding tax, and other statutory returns, while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and accounting standards. The role also involves coordinating with tax consultants, external auditors, and regulatory authorities as required, maintaining effective internal controls, and providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making. Regular collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to enhance financial processes and ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes, preferably in a technology or services environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CPA or CMA) are a plus.
