What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Designer position at EDGE Services, Inc.?
This is a contract position with a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite in Vienna, VA or Winchester, VA.
This is a JUNIOR LEVEL role.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain engaging learning solutions using instructional design best practices and adult learning principles.
- Conduct learning needs analyses to identify performance gaps and recommend effective training solutions.
- Develop a variety of learning assets
- Create interactive eLearning content using Articulate Rise 360 and Articulate Storyline.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), business stakeholders, and project teams to gather content and ensure learning objectives are met.
- Apply visual design principles and accessibility standards to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
- Utilize AI-assisted content development tools to improve development efficiency while maintaining quality and instructional integrity.
The skills we are looking for in this role include:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Human Performance Improvement, or a related field.
- 1 year of instructional design experience.
- Proficient with Articulate Rise and Storyline
- Experience conducting needs analyses and developing performance-based learning solutions.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing:
- eLearning
- Virtual instructor-led training
- Job aids and performance support tools
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience partnering with SMEs and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Salary : $25 - $30
