EDGEiD is a full-service Interior Design Firm. We specialize in designing awe-inspiring spaces, whether hospitality, commercial, multifamily, or residential. Each one of us brings a different perspective to the table that enrichens the design experience. We do regular design charettes that give everyone a seat at the table to offer valuable input. We are currently seeking a Assistant Designer to contribute to the team’s success by providing much-needed support with all aspects of the design process—including sourcing, specifying, technical drawings, project organization, and meeting preparation. They will help facilitate project timelines, budgets, and standards. The Assistant Designer will maintain the sample library and be responsible for sample requests and go-backs. They will report to the Design Manager regarding tasks and deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of the design process, including selecting and specifying FF&E, materials, and finishes
  • Assist in management and coordination of drawings files and plan sets as needed 
  • Help create finish schedules and product specifications 
  • Support designers in creation and maintenance of design boards and presentation materials as needed, including concept boards, drawings, elevations, samples, and finishes
  • Assist in preparation of client presentations and in taking meeting minutes.
  • Follow up with vendors on lead-times and quotes
  • Assist as needed on budgetary tasks including RFQ’s and sample requests
  • Research new products and materials as they relate to specific projects
  • Manage multiple project-related tasks simultaneously
  • Manage delegated duties from design team with efficient time management and by prioritizing assigned tasks and responsibilities
  • Assist in organization and management of sample library
  • Attend and assist design team with site measures, project installations and photo shoots
  • Assist in any and all other duties as they relate to the success of the design team.


 

Work Hours Benefits:

 

The position is full-time, in-office, Monday-Friday. We offer competitive pay and a great benefits package that includes PTO, health insurance, paid holidays, and advancement opportunities. Interior Designer Qualifications/Skills:

  • Degree in Interior Design, design school or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite, REVU, and other design-related programs.
  • Ability to work under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust deadlines as needed.
  • Possess strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills with all levels of employees, management, and outside parties.
  • Strong abilities to work independently or as part of a team setting and achieve results through collaboration and sharing.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, and is eager to learn and grow with the firm
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized 
  • Excited to contribute to the team culture
  • Willingness to interface with team members, vendors, and clients
