Job Description – Low Voltage Installation Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for installing and servicing integrated security systems and products, including closed circuit TV (CCTV) and access control at various customer sites across the country. Responsibilities :
- Experience installing, terminating and testing CAT-5, 5e, 6
- Install video, access control systems and cabling
- Verify operation of system post installation.
- Maintain rapport with customers
- Must be able to troubleshoot problems and identify solutions.
- Perform system training for owner / operator on the total system
- Responsible for accurately documenting service and installation actions by completing installation and service checklists.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in scheduled training meetings
Education/Skills/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must possess a thorough understanding of Analog and Digital (IP) CCTV Equipment
- Familiarity with Computer Networking and Networking Concepts (Helpful)
- Working Knowledge of Windows OS
- Ability to Read Building Plans (Helpful)
Skills:
- Ability to travel periodically/when the need arises for a week or weekend, overnight. (hotel and per diem accommodations provided)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-task environment
- Must have driver’s license and good driving record
- Comfortable with taking direction from others
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must be able to follow procedures
- Must have excellent communication skills with co-workers, supervisors, and customers
- Must be in full compliance with company and customers safety guidelines
- Ability to report to work during customary or specifically assigned working hours
- Ability to adhere to workplace rules
- Pre-employment drug testing and background checks are required
