What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Newspaper Delivery-Assistant position at Edge Delviery Group?
Edge Delivery Group is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Assistant Lead. This is an entry-level leadership position with opportunity for advancement.
Job Duties:
- Stack bundles of newspapers for carriers
- Deliver OPEN newspaper routes
- Redeliver missed newspapers
- Resolve any delivery issues with customers
- Update route lists with new customer starts and stops
- Deliver newspapers to residences and businesses on designated routes using a provided route list
- Delivery is six NIGHTS a week in the overnight hours. Saturday night through Thursday night. Friday night off.
- This is a Non-Employ, Independent Contractor position
Qualifications:
- Must have valid driver's license and social security number
- Must have own dependable vehicle with valid vehicle insurance coverage. Small to midsize SUV with AWD is optimal for this position.
- Responsible, organized, dependable, time management skills
- Ability to read a route list
- Ability to comprehend daily changes in the customer list
- Must have a smartphone or tablet
- Intermediate computer and phone skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $46,800.00 - $52,000.00 per year
