Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Midland, TX for a Safety/Fleet Manager. The role includes overseeing fleet operations, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, managing safety protocols, and improving operational efficiencies within the fleet. The Safety/Fleet Manager will also gather relevant data, implement best practices in fleet management, and promote adherence to safety standards across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
HSE & Safety Leadership
• Conduct risk assessments and support field, shop, and yard safety initiatives
• Maintain safety policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans
• Deliver orientations and ongoing training
• Ensure OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory compliance
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
• Support customer safety audits (ISNetworld, Veriforce, etc.)
• Build and promote a strong safety culture through field engagement
Fleet Operations Management
• Manage preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Track fleet assets, fuel usage, mileage, and engine hours
• Manage fleet budgets, cost control, and vendor relationships
• Utilize telematics/GPS software for tracking and reporting
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of DOT Regulations and thorough understanding of compliance requirements.
- Strong skills in Analytical Thinking for problem-solving and improving operational efficiency.
- Experience in Fleet Operations and Operations Management to oversee day-to-day activities effectively.
- Proficiency in Fleet Management to monitor, maintain, and enhance fleet performance.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead and work collaboratively within teams.
- Familiarity with safety management practices within the energy sector is a plus.
- A degree or certifications relevant to Fleet Management or Safety are preferred but not mandatory.
