Duties
- Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety protocols.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate interpretation for on-site execution.
- Oversee subcontractors and construction teams, supervising daily activities to maintain quality control and safety standards aligned with OSHA regulations.
- Monitor project budgets, perform cost analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent overruns.
- Conduct site inspections with tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, including pipeline components, using construction site experience to anticipate logistical needs.
- Manage project documentation including schedules, reports, and logs while maintaining detailed records of all project activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively on construction sites.
- Solid understanding of contracts, budgeting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment on active sites.
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities including quality control inspections and use of measurement tools like ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with heavy civil or pipeline projects is a plus; strong project scheduling skills are essential.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while ensuring project milestones are met efficiently.
