About Edge Construction Specialties

Since 1996, Edge Construction Specialties has delivered high-quality commercial finish carpentry across the Rocky Mountain region. Our expertise spans architectural woodwork, casework, countertops, upholstery, ornamental metals, decorative glass, specialties, and doors, frames, and hardware.

We’re building more than projects - we’re building careers. Our success is driven by an uncompromising commitment to integrity and a “Can Do” culture: anticipating challenges, solving problems, and supporting one another to deliver exceptional results. At Edge, relationships aren’t just important - they are our business.

About the Role

The Senior Project Manager leads high-profile, complex millwork fabrication and installation projects from handoff through closeout - ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to client specifications. You’ll serve as the primary client contact, mentor junior project management staff, and drive strategic improvements across project processes.

This is a leadership role for an experienced construction professional who thrives on complexity, takes ownership, and wants to build something lasting - including a real equity stake in the company they help grow.

What You’ll Do

Project Leadership

  • Own the full project lifecycle from client handoff through final closeout, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, GCs, and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, budgets, and WIP reporting with proactive risk identification and resolution
  • Manage contracts, scope changes, RFIs, change orders, and all related project documentation
  • Oversee submittals including shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, and transmittals
  • Coordinate labor planning with field leadership and ensure all site safety requirements are met

Procurement & Production

  • Create work orders and communicate scope through internal systems; track critical production and delivery dates
  • Coordinate RFQs, vendor pricing, and procurement activities; partner with purchasing on pricing and lead times
  • Lead production and procurement kickoff meetings; monitor product progress through fabrication and delivery

Team Development & Leadership

  • Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers
  • Provide direction, accountability, and coaching to build a high-performing project management team
  • Contribute to process improvements, tools, and best practices across the PM function
  • Support vendor evaluation and development

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in architectural millwork, commercial finish carpentry, or a closely related construction specialty - you understand the product, the process, and the pace
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, with strong budget, schedule, and client management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent field experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management platforms (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, INNERGY)

Nice-to-Haves / Preferred

  • Experience mentoring or managing junior project management staff
  • Established relationships with GCs or owners in the Colorado commercial construction market
  • Familiarity with LEED, AWI standards, or specialty subcontractor scopes

Benefits & Perks

  • ESOP Ownership: Annual stock grants - build equity in a company you help grow
  • Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • HSA: Company Contribution
  • 401(k) Retirement: Company match included
  • Paid Time Off: PTO plus paid holidays

  • Wellness Program and EAP
  • Career Development: Professional development and advancement opportunities

Work Environment

This is a primarily office-based role at our Lakewood, CO headquarters, with regular travel to active job sites across the Rocky Mountain region. During peak project cycles, extended hours may be required - we work hard when projects demand it and are committed to balance in between.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Offer is contingent on successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and reference checks.
