What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Porter - East Valley position at EDGE Building Services?
Schedule - Monday - Thursday 5am - 12pm and Friday 10am-12pm
Duties | Responsibilities
Tasks based on assignment; responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Common areas – Parking lots, sidewalks, smoking areas, dumpster enclosures, etc.
- Spot clean glass (remove fingerprints, smudges, etc.)
- Empty trash receptacles
- Police parking lot and/or established traffic areas for miscellaneous trash/debris
- Spot mop to remove spills (as needed)
- Restrooms (if applicable)
- Spot clean surfaces (as needed) - toilets, urinals, counters, sinks, stall partitions, dispenser exteriors, mirrors, etc.
- Check/restock all paper products
- Spot mop flooring to remove water/spills (utilize “Wet Floor” sign)
- Empty trash receptacles
*Rotation/frequency of tasks may vary
Miscellaneous
- Inform Supervisor of any plumbing, mechanical or electrical malfunctions
- Report any visible property damage that occurred prior to or during shift
- Other duties as requested by Property Manager and/or Building Engineer
Skill Set / Qualifications
- Previous janitorial/house-keeping experience preferred but not required
- Dedication to providing premier janitorial services in a professional and consistent manner at all times
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with established duties; accomplish specific tasks all while maintaining attention to detail
- Team player attitude and positive approach
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to lift 10 lbs or more
- Valid Driver’s License
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required
