Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspension components, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain assemblies.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Work with automotive schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems on various vehicle makes and models.
- Service heavy equipment mechanics when required, especially for diesel engine repair and auto body repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership settings preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems (including shocks & struts), and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair and heavy equipment mechanics is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately for complex mechanical systems repair.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid certifications or licenses related to automotive repair are preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.
