Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $16.00 – $22.00 per hour (tips included)

Does a piping bag feel like part of your hand? Can you look at a bare cake and already picture the finished design? Edgar's Bakery in Birmingham wants to meet you.

We're looking for experienced decorators and icers who sweat the details and love handing a finished cake to a happy customer. Cake decorating experience is a must — bring your skills and we'll keep your bench busy.

What You'll Do at the Bench

- Ice, pipe, and design custom cakes, cupcakes, and cookies for birthdays, weddings, and every celebration in between

- Take a customer's idea and make it real — without ever losing the Edgar's look

- Reproduce our classics with consistency, and dream up brand-new designs when the order calls for it

- Work side by side with a crew that genuinely enjoys the craft

- Keep your station spotless: clean bench, clean lines

What Makes You a Great Fit

- Hands-on cake decorating experience (required)

- A steady hand and an eye that catches the little stuff

- Clear communication and a team-first attitude

- Grace under pressure when the order board fills up

Nice to Have (Not Required, But We'll Notice)

- Fondant, modeling chocolate, or tiered and stacked cake experience

- A knack for color-matching and reproducing a design exactly

- Friendly, confident customer service at the cake case

The Details

- Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours, with occasional overtime. Saturdays included.

- Real work-life balance: no night shifts, and we're closed Sundays. Your evenings and Sundays stay yours.

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred

- Setting: On-site at Edgar's Bakery in Birmingham
