Kennel Cleaner / Animal Care Assistant
Edgar & Ivy’s Cat Sanctuary – Corpus Christi, TX
Are you looking for a meaningful job where you can make a real difference for animals every single day? We are hiring kennel cleaners to help care for rescued cats and kittens in a fast-paced nonprofit rescue environment.
This is not a boring retail or office job. Every day is different. You’ll help save lives while gaining hands-on experience working with animals, teamwork, cleaning protocols, and rescue operations.

Responsibilities
- Cleaning kennels, litter boxes, and animal areas
- Sweeping, mopping, laundry, and sanitizing
- Feeding cats and kittens
- Refilling water and supplies
- Helping staff maintain a clean, safe environment
- Assisting with basic daily animal care tasks
- Following cleaning and safety protocols carefully
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with cleaning and physical work
- Able to stand, bend, lift, and stay active during shifts
- Must work well with a team
- Passion for helping animals is a huge plus
