Job Duties And Responsibilities:
To be considered, candidates residing outside of commuting distance to the office are required to provide a cover letter regarding their intentions to relocate to the local area and that the candidate understands that there will be no relocation assistance provided.Candidate outside of commuting distance to the office who do not provide a cover letter will not be screened for the position.
Working Conditions:
We are currently only accepting candidates that are local to the office location. In addition, the candidate’s location must be easily identifiable either on submittal documents or in the candidate’s registration in our ATS.

The Structural Engineering Intern will perform routine tasks using well defined standards and procedures under close supervision.
Job Duties And Responsibilities:
- Basic analysis and design work under close supervision, working in collaborative, multi-discipline teams
- Work under the supervision of an experienced Structural Engineer
- Develop organizational skills to manage workload with differing priorities, deliverables, and schedules
- Gain exposure to codes typically used in offshore structural design: AISC, ASCE, API, AWS, ISO, etc.
- Gain exposure to a variety of structural challenges in the design of offshore production facilities.
- Gain exposure to a variety of software packages used in the everyday operations of a Structural Engineering department: SACS, Excel, Word, MathCad, etc.
- Gain exposure to company design practices and the opportunity to update and improve said practices
- Gain exposure to leadership training reading materials, developing a plan, and implementing that plan
- Assist in the preparation of project deliverables: design reports, permit applications, drawing packages, installation procedures, etc.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future;
- Enrollment in a four (4) year baccalaureate program Civil and/or Structural Engineering at an accredited college or university;
- Currently accepting anticipated graduation dates between December 2026 and May 2027;
- Candidate must provide a resume as well as the college or university transcripts.

Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private office) but also requires occasional travel to off-site work locations.
- Field duties require outdoor work in a plant or offshore platform atmosphere;
- Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;
- Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels;
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;
- May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes;
- May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
- Must be able to lift and carry five (5) pounds;
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits employee to communicate effectively;
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation which permits employee to conduct analysis and investigations;
- Sufficient manual dexterity which permit the employee to perform routine office duties;
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.
