What are the responsibilities and job description for the ECP ASSISTANT TEACHER position at Edenton Street United Methodist Church?
Edenton St UMC Early Childhood Program is seeking a few part time Assistant Teachers to work our preschool program starting Fall 2026.
Our program has served children, in the heart of downtown Raleigh, for over 40 years. Our school year operates from late August through May each year and we are closed for the summer months. The working hours are 9:00 am - 1:15 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and until 2:15 pm on most Wednesdays.
We are a social and emotional based preschool and believe strongly in the Conscious Discipline curriculum. Anyone with experience in a preschool setting and/ or the Conscious Discipline curriculum would be ideal to apply. However, if you feel led to work with young children and are energetic and excited to learn and teach new things we would welcome speaking to you as well.
Our preschool serves infant through Pre-K aged children. The specific classroom age of the open positions will be discussed during the interview process.
