Position: Nurse Supervisor/Wound Nurse (AM Shift)
Eden Vista Hoffman Estates, a senior living facility and part of Vista Senior Living Management, is seeking a Nurse Supervisor/Wound Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the Nurse Supervisor/Wound Nurse functions of our building. This position is pivotal in ensuring efficient financial management and supporting a smooth and well-organized operation for our residents and staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee nursing services, policies, and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead and manage the facility's wound care program, including comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, documentation, and ongoing monitoring of residents with wounds.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of wound care interventions and adjust treatment plans as needed to promote healing and prevent complications.
- Conduct routine nursing rounds throughout the facility, including at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Ensure residents receive safe, high-quality care while protecting their rights, dignity, and well-being.
- Promote an environment free from abuse, neglect, and mistreatment.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident care.
- Participate in care planning meetings, quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and administrative decision-making.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
- 3-5 years of wound care experience required.
- Wound Care Certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living setting preferred.
- Working knowledge of state survey regulations, Medicare, and Medicaid requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is a plus.
