Position: Maintenance Assistant/ Housekeeping Supervisor

Work Schedule: 8am-4pm

Essential Functions:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring resident rooms, common areas, cottages, and the facility are clean, sanitary, and compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Perform housekeeping duties alongside the team, assisting with the cleaning of resident cottages and shared spaces while maintaining infection control, safety, and quality standards.
• Assist the Maintenance Director with work orders, preventative maintenance, facility repairs, and projects, including tasks that require two people to complete.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and housekeeping needs, reporting and addressing issues in a timely manner.
• Train, support, and provide day-to-day guidance to housekeeping staff, monitor inventory of housekeeping and maintenance supplies, and help ensure efficient department operations.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment by responding promptly to resident needs, preserving resident privacy and dignity, and communicating effectively with residents, families, staff, and vendors.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training, and other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the community.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.
• Ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
