Edenbrook North is currently looking for a positive and reliable Cook who understands the importance of their role in delivering high-quality care through excellent meal preparation and service.
Position: Cook (Full-Time)
- Pay Range: Starts at $16.25
- Schedule: 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients (e.g., chopping vegetables, cutting meat)
- Cook food using various techniques (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)
- Monitor food while cooking and make adjustments as needed
- Plate dishes with attention to presentation
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment
- Properly store food and ingredients
- Monitor food quality and freshness
- Track inventory and alert supervisor when supplies run low
- Proven experience working in a kitchen
- Familiarity with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
- Knowledge of a variety of cooking methods
- Ability to follow all sanitation and safety procedures
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good physical stamina and attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary school training is a plus
