We are seeking individuals who are devoted to fostering meaningful and purposeful lives for our residents. The Activity Assistant organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small-group facilitation, and large-group presentations. Capable of documenting individual participation and the value of approaches in the medical record.Shift and Scheduling:9:00am to 5:00pm(Monday, Wednesday, Friday and every other weekend schedule)Job functions will include:Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of our residentsCreate environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus every dayHelp design programs to encourage socializationProvide entertainment, relaxation, fulfillment, and improve daily living skillsPrepare and maintain reports on residents’ progressEnsure activity areas are safe and well maintainedGenerate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participationIdeal candidates will have: A passion for working with peopleExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationshipsEffective verbal and non-verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to remain calm and adapt to changing situationsAbility to work under stress while remaining caring and kindAbility to understand and work in various situations positively and constructivelyExcellent organizational skills with the ability to set and meet deadlinesCreativity, imagination, and innovationMusical or arts & crafts experience preferred#INDCH
