What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver position at Eden Medical Transportation?
Driver Job Requirements:
1. Applicant must be 21 years old and over.
2. Must have a high school diploma or GED.
3. Applicant must have had a valid California Drivers’ License for at least 2 years and a clean driving record.
4. Must have a great track record, have a history of being reliable and punctual.
5. Must be able to use GPS applications on a smart phone for driving directions, knowledge of the local road/traffic conditions a plus.
6. Must be able to speak, read and write in English, (Spanish a plus).
Job Responsibilities:
1. Plan accordingly for the work day and make sure to check the schedule.
2. Show up to the assignment on time.
3. Anticipate traffic conditions and plan accordingly.
4. Assist clients in and out of the vehicle.
5. Report traffic delays to dispatcher as soon as possible.
6. Operate wheelchair lifts and other devices as instructed.
7. Report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor.
8. Always asks questions when unsure about the task at hand.
